Spring Newsletter 2010

A Message from Your President & Management Team

Hello all Evergreen Valley owners. It is that time of year again. With the coming of Spring it's time to send out our newsletter updating you on some of the events and happenings at Evergreen.

The winter season has come and gone once again and did not offer any great amount of snow. Our winter owners were disappointed at the lack of the white stuff, but from what I am told; our owners still enjoyed their stay with us.

We have had a rough year again, rentals being down due to the lack of snow, and the overall economy, therefore, causing loss of revenue. We were audited by the government for not adding sales tax to the articles we sold to our owners, and we had some other administration expenses. The auditor was very pleased with our books, and was very pleased with the way Megan worked with her to resolve the issues at hand.

Thanks to Mr. Bob Bahre, we were able to resolve this issue very quickly as Mr. Bahre once again assisted Evergreen Valley by giving us $15,000.00 to help towards a dry hard winter. We are very pleased to be working with Mr. Bahre and can't thank him enough for his assistance.

The economic climate is about the same as last year, but we are hoping that the summer will be our turning around point. After speaking with a number of the hotels in the area, their rental revenues are also lacking at the present time, so obviously we are not alone.

On October 18, 2009 your Executive & Management team met at the resort to discuss the present status of Evergreen and our budget planning for calendar year 2010. After much discussion, we agreed on the proposed 2010 budget (attached). There is a slight increase in maintenance fees of $20.

Since the last newsletter, I am pleased to report that we have a new washing machine for the owners in the laundry room, we have a number of new comforters for the rooms and condo's, and have new clocks in each room. We are still working towards new drapes and blinds as soon as the monies are available to us. But I do have good news; We now Have Wireless Internet Access Available! We still have a few bugs here and there, but at least we finally have it. A lot of our owners were requesting Internet Access so we should have some happy owners. Our renovations and upgrades have not moved as quickly as we wished due to the economy but as I stated earlier we are hoping that 2010 is going to be a much better year.

With a lot of talking and writing of materials we were also able to get Evergreen Valley on the following website. Unfortunately, because of the lack of snow, we didn't get a lot of response; however, we are remaining optimistic re the winter of 2010. We are #10 on their list. Best Snowmobiling in the USA

If you cannot attend please support your team, and send back your proxy to the Inn ASAP. If you wish to stay and help with work around the grounds and Inn, you are welcome to do so.
